sketchpage
Hey friends, this is a page from the little sketchbook. I was at the Met. Copied a Rembrandt and a Eakins. And for good measure sketched two people sleeping on the train and two mythical beasts. the fat fish and the punk unicorndonkey.
Clearly I need to focus.

sketch on Train
Hey Friends, I haven't posted one of these in a while. This was done tonight. The model was kind enough to fall asleep for about 3 and a half stops. The page is about the size of my palm and the drawing a little smaller than business card.

NY comic con
Every year at around this time comes NY comic con. It's the biggest "comic" convention on the east coast. I've been to every one since the first. Funny story about the first one, they sold more tickets than the place held. That's it, that's the story.
Ok, there's more. Fire Marshals had to block the entrance and prevent nerds and dorks from going in (dorks I can understand, but why nerds?!) The organizers had to expand, and luckily for them, the Javitz convention center has plenty of space to expand. Every subsequent convention since has expanded considerably from the previous.
Good fun awaits, in fact the most fun I've ever had at any convention was at ny comic con a few years ago when X and I walked the floor with 1 goofy mask on.

Steve Buscemi mask
Hey guys It's almost Halloween time. You know what that means, MASK MAKING! So here's another low budget mask. The subject is Steve Buscemi. I'm currently putting paper clay on top of paper mache'. I used an old template to lay the glue newspaper on top of. To strengthen the paper mache' I stuck some heavier weight paper onto the back and edges of the mache' with Matte medium. Hopefully the final will look good. Stay tuned friends!
