Hey, I'll be updating one more time today, this first sculpt is actually paper + paper clay and acrlyics. Just a wierd little shape.
This one I've posted before but here's a better photo. Billy quizboy from the Venture bros. Also made from paper clay. The stuff is great because it's air dried , doesn't need to be baked. Inside is foil, floral wire and aluminum wire.
Later today I'll upload the finished Faun and the progress photos.
So this weekend I was at NY comic con and here are some of the more interesting sights. cobra Commander , my favorite part of this image is the guy in the bg.
This was the best chun li at the con. Blair Butler from g4's attack of the show.
The best hellboy cosplayer.
Middle aged jedi's
Joss Whedon being really cool and posing with people, of course I couldn't get a clean shot because I was carrying too much stuff. btw, I saw Darren Aronofsky too (he wasn't promoting anything, just shopping)
Next to Chewbaccas this was the tallest cosplayer jughead jones.
Marvel heroes.
the Monarch and mrs dr the monarch.
Pacman and victum.
a cool scarecrow
wolverine makes another appearence (much sadder this time) leonardo being more hospitable while raphel being his movie self (not cartoon self) and walking away without photo.
The said these were homemade, very professional looking.
I was at kid robot the other day and they had some mini figures of the monarch and doctor mrs the monarch. they were cool but too small, they should make them bigger so I can buy them. A little while ago I bought some paper clay and modeled the Monarch. I love this paper clay even though I can't get the details I can with super sculpey. It's air dry so I don't have to worry about the figure burning. And the price is very reasonable. I've actually been building up the models with paper and glue. The newest head will be Billy Quizboy. after the base is dry, i'll sand and finish off the bust. a few days after that I'll lay in some color.
I decided to do some more fan art. This was done in oils (because I wanted to finish this tube of brownpink) and then taken into photoshop for some tinkering (because it's faster).
